We have spent many months learning our multiplication tables so for the next few weeks we are going to revise our plus 4 and -4 tables with the help of the tables champion sheet below

 

2) This week again we are going to focus on time, please do question 10 the sheet below

3) This week you should revise your plus 4 and minus 4 tables

For example 4 plus 0=4,    4 plus 1=5,     4 plus 2=6 etc.

Then 4-4=0,     5-4=1,      6-4=2,     7-4=3 etc.

These tables are in Maths book and Homework journal

4) Practice counting in your multiplies of 4 again forwards and backwards

Good morning boys and girls, can you believe its May the 1st already, what a strange year so far it has been! It was lovely to see some of Mr. O Shea’s class and Mr Griffin’s class on Zoom during the week. You are all looking so healthy and happy with your families. It was great to hear about and see some of your dogs, cats and rabbits.

Hello girls and boys

Yesterday April 2nd was Autism Awareness Day. Well done to all for dressing up in blue and doing wonderful art. I saw some lovely photos and pictures on dojo

Every day or two try doing something new. Try learn a new dance, make up a new dance, do a project on a topic you want to find out more about, learn a new song, write a song, improve your drawing skills, improve your football/hurling or camogie skills, learn how to bake, learn how to make a meal, learn to play a card game, play board games, learn a new instrument or learn some facts about Easter and why its significant in the religious calendar. There are plenty things to do and learn now that we have so much free time.

If you have blue socks or any blue clothes and could wear them today and send in some pictures that would be great.  Ms.  Doyle will give you a blue treat when we all return to school if you send in a picture! Spend some time doing exercise/exercises. If you have access go onto Go Noodle. Make sure to get out into your garden daily, if you have one and do some exercises or play a ball game with a brother/sister/parent and finally log onto the schools Twitter page. There’s are lots of nice ideas there also.

Keep up the hard work boys and girls and keep washing your hands. Don’t forget to ring your grandparents/ elderly relatives if you can. They would love to hear from you all.

I hope you’re all keeping well, enjoying time in your garden if possible and helping out around the house. I hope you all tried your best with yesterday’s work. I look forward to checking it when we’re all back together at school

Now it’s time for some schoolwork,

Maths Group:

Please try keep up with your class teachers Maths work as much as possible.

1) If your finding it difficult you can do column two (Tuesday) in your Maths pack.

2) Also you should revise your multiplied by 4 tables. You can do this online by going to www. Topmarks.co.uk or all the tables are in the back of your Maths book.

3) Practice counting in your multiplies of 4. Ex 4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40,44,48. Say these numbers forwards and backwards

4) Count up and down to 55,     Ex 1,2,3,4 up to 55.     Then count from 55 down to 1,     Ex 55, 54, 53 down to 1

 

English Group:

Please try keep up with your class teacher’s English work as much as possible

1) If you’re finding it difficult read the second story in your English pack.

2) You can write the five answers into your copy. If your parents prefer they can ask you the questions and you can answer them orally.

3) Pick 3 spellings that you do not know in the story. Put them into sentences and learn the spellings. Get an adult to ask you the spellings if possible.

4) Read any book for 15 minutes each day.

 

Toe by Toe Book:

If I have given you this book spend 15 minutes doing it. (You need an adult to help you with this, if there not available leave it until they can help you)

If you type weekly with me and if you have access to a laptop spend 15/20 minutes practicing your typing. The website is BBC Mat Typing. Go onto that website and revise level 2

Spend at least 30 minutes doing exercise/exercises. If you have access  go onto Go Noodle. If not do 2 minutes of running on the spot, 2 minutes star jumps, 2 minutes balancing on one leg then the other and 2 minutes of throwing a bean bag onto a specific spot. Just keep active
