I hope you are all keeping well, exercising daily, practising social distancing and washing those hands.

I hope you’re enjoying the urban gym class every Tuesday and Thursday at 1.30.   I have also heard many children talking about Joe Wicks exercise programme online. Many are really enjoying these classes!  Also if the weather is fine make sure to get out every day if possible and soak up some sun shine

1) Do Monday’s column of the table’s sheet below

We have spent many months learning our multiplication tables so for the next few weeks we are going to revise our plus 5 and -5 tables with the help of the tables champion sheet below

 

2) This week  we are going to focus on number patterns , please do questions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the sheet below

3) This week you should revise your plus 5 and minus 5 tables

For example 5 plus 0=5,    5 plus 1=6,     5 plus 2=7 etc.

Then 5-5=0,     6-5=1,      7-5=2,     8-5=3 etc.

These tables are in Maths book and Homework journal

4) Practice counting in your multiplies of 5 again forwards and backwards

English Group:

We have spent many months learning our multiplication tables so for the next few weeks we are going to revise our plus 3 and -3 tables with the help of the tables champion sheet below

3) This week you should revise your plus 3 and minus 3 tables

For example 3 plus 0=3,    3 plus 1=4,     3 plus 2=5 etc.

Good morning boys and girls, can you believe its May the 1st already, what a strange year so far it has been! It was lovely to see some of Mr. O Shea’s class and Mr Griffin’s class on Zoom during the week. You are all looking so healthy and happy with your families. It was great to hear about and see some of your dogs, cats and rabbits.

This week you need to decide after your typing practice last week do you need more practice with a typing programme of do you just need to simply practice and speed up your typing skills. If your still not 100% sure of where all the keys are, maybe you need another bit of practice with a typing programme. Hello girls and boys

Keep up the hard work boys and girls and keep washing your hands. You’re all doing great work, I know you are. I hope you all have a nice peaceful Easter holidays. Every day or two try doing something new. Try learn a new dance, make up a new dance, do a project on a topic you want to find out more about, learn a new song, write a song, improve your drawing skills, improve your football/hurling or camogie skills, learn how to bake, learn how to make a meal, learn to play a card game, play board games, learn a new instrument or learn some facts about Easter and why its significant in the religious calendar. There are plenty things to do and learn now that we have so much free time.

If you have blue socks or any blue clothes and could wear them today and send in some pictures that would be great.  Ms.  Doyle will give you a blue treat when we all return to school if you send in a picture! Saying One, Two or Three Numbers after a Given Number

An adult is going to say a number and I want you to say the next number after the number the adult says. What comes after 7, after 12, after 19, after 50, after 77, and so on.

 

This time say the next two numbers after the number the adult says. What are the next two numbers after 8, after 35, and so on

This time say the next three numbers after the number the adult says. What are the next three numbers after 11, after 49, and so on.

Hello girls and boys

I hope you and all your families are healthy and happy.  I presume your all keeping in contacts with your grandparents, they love hearing from their children and grandchildren. Keep exercising, practicing social distancing and keep washing those hands.

Tomorrow April 2nd is World autism day. If you could wear blue socks tomorrow and send in some pictures that would be great. There will be activities on class dojo and the schools Facebook page so have a look on Thursday

Typing:

If you type weekly with me and if you have access to a laptop spend 20/30 minutes practising your typing. The website is BBC Mat Typing. Go onto that website and start at level 2 and revise it. Make sure your taking your time now and typing with both fingers on the keyboard! We can move onto level 3 next week if you have perfected level 2.

Exercise:

Spend some time doing exercise/exercises. If you have access go onto Go Noodle. Make sure to get out into your garden daily, if you have one and do some exercises or play a chasing/ balancing game with a brother/sister/parent and finally log onto the schools Twitter page. There’s are lots of nice ideas there also.

Keep up the hard work boys and girls and keep washing your hands. You’re all doing great work, I know you are. Talk tomorrow

Good Morning boys and girls,

I hope you’re all keeping happy and healthy and enjoying time outside playing if possible.  I hope you all tried you best with last week’s work. If you did, well done and keep it up.  If you didn’t it’s never too late to start!

Now it’s time for some schoolwork

Maths Group:

Please try keep up with your class teachers Maths work as much as possible.

1) If your finding it difficult you can do column four (Thursday) of week 1 in your Maths pack.

2) Also you should revise your multiplied by 3 tables. You can do this online by going to www. Topmarks.co.uk or all the tables are in the back of your Maths book.

3) Practice counting in your multiplies of 3.

0 ,3 ,6 , 9 ,12, 15 ,18 ,21, 24 ,27,30, 33,  36 . Say these numbers numerous times. Get someone to listen to you saying them if you can.

4) Count up and down to 65,     Ex 1,2,3,4 up to 65.     Then count from 65 down to 1,     Ex 65,64,63,62,61,60,59 down to 1. You can walk around whilst doing this or run on the spot.

4) Mondays spellings: It is important that you try learn these spellings every day. They are words you will see often in books.

Good Morning,

I hope you’re all keeping well, enjoying time with your families outside if possible and helping out around the house whenever possible. I hope you all tried you best with yesterday’s work. If you did, well done and keep it up. If you didn’t it’s never too late to start!

2) Also you should revise your multiplied by 8 tables. You can do this online by going to www. Topmarks.co.uk or all the tables are in the back of your Maths book.

3) Practice counting in your multiplies of 8.

8,16,24,32,40,48,56,64,72,80,88,96 . Say these numbers numerous times. Get someone to listen to you saying them if you can.

4) Count up and down to 60,     Ex 1,2,3,4 up to 60.     Then count from 60 down to 1,     Ex 60, 59, 58 down to 1. You can walk around whilst doing this or run on the spot.

5) Revise your x2, x4 and x8 time’s tables. You can give yourself a Friday test. Write them into your class copy and ask an adult to correct them.
