       Your target number is 63.   Using adding, take away, multiplication and division, get as close as you can to 47. You don’t have to use all the numbers but you can         only use each one once.  eg  10 x 3 = 30   then    30 x 2 = 60   and then  60 + 41 = 64  (Not quite – see if you can get closer)

6.    Spend 15 minutes on Mathletics.

2.    It is World Book Day today so Id like you to design me a book cover. It can be a new cover for a book that you have read or make up a book that you would like to read.

Make sure that you include the Title,  Author and illustrator.

       Your target number is 47.   Using adding, take away, multiplication and division, get as close as you can to 47. You don’t have to use all the numbers but you can         only use each one once.  eg  8 x 5 = 40   then    40 + 10 = 50   and then    50 – 1 = 49  (Not quite – see if you can get closer)

Here are some nouns. They describe a person, place, thing or feeling . Put them in a sentence  and use correct punctuation. Try and add in an adjective. to help  describe the noun.

    table/field/school/fire/dog/football

e.g. The wooden table was  in the kitchen.

 

If you could go anywhere this weekend, where would you go?

Imagine you were told you could go anywhere in the world, this weekend..  Write a paragraph describing what it was like and how you felt when you got there. Try and describe it.

It can be easier for the reader to imagine  if you add in how you feel /what you can see/hear/ smell.

Here are some prepositions. They describe where something is. Put them in a sentence  and use correct punctuation. 

    over/under/through/ inbetween/off

e.g. The bird flew over the house.

 

Stand outside your house and listen. Write a sentence about  5 things that you can hear.

e.g. The car is racing past my house.

Count forward in 5s from 0. See if you can find a ball. Throw the ball in the air and each time you catch it, count another 5. You may need to go outside to do this.

  2. How would you write out some instructions for making a sandwich? Find a filling that you like and write out your instructions using bullet points. 🥪 At lunchtime, see if you can make the sandwich and send me a picture . 📸

 

Maths

  2. Count forward in 5s from 0 to 100.
  3. Count backwards in 5s from 100 to 0.
  4. Find all the even numbers below. Remember, even numbers all end in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8.

Hello everyone.

I hope you are all keeping well and had a good Christmas and New Year (it probably seems like quite a long time ago now!)

I am really excited to be working with you all but a bit disappointed that I can’t meet you until we get back to school, which hopefully won’t be too long.

I will be setting some work for you every Thursday and Friday and just like Ms Kavanagh’s work you can dip into this if you find the work set by your teacher a bit tricky.
