Look at the example – 3 hrs 49 mins becomes 2hrs 109 mins.

As you will see below I have uploaded your spelling sheet for this week (there is a matchstick puzzle sheet underneath it) along with some pages from our Mental Maths and English in Practice workbooks. You do not have to print these off but you can if you want to. I will tell you each day which sections I would like you to complete. Good morning to you all. I hope you had a nice weekend. Just a few messages for you before I outline your work for today.
Firstly, RTE are starting a School Hub programme today from 11am – 12pm. If you could begin watching it from today that would be great.
Due to School Hub Donna Dunne will be starting her daily online fitness classes at 12.15pm instead of 12 noon.
Urban Rascals have a prize of a home study centre up for grabs this week.

You need your own password which I will send to your parents through class DoJo today. I have already set you plenty of tasks so you can get started on whichever ones you want to. We are setting this up so I will be able to monitor your progress on the site.

Good morning everyone.Thank you very much to all the parents who joined our class Dojo yesterday. We have a few more yet to join so if you could join when you get a chance that would be great. I hope some of you managed to log onto Donna Dunne Fitness yesterday and enjoyed it. She will be doing this every weekday at 12 noon so it might be nice to include this in your daily routine.
Also if you could go to URBAN RASCALS on the Urban Gym Facebook page they will be doing a keep-fit class for you today and Thursday at 1.30pm. There will be a Fit Bit to be won by one pupil who posts a picture of themselves doing the exercises on our school website. Hope you enjoy both of these.

Below you will find your work for today. I forgot to mention to you last week about putting the date and title on each piece of your work and to use capital letters and full stops. (I’m sure you all remembered anyway.) Also can you try to keep your handwriting neat & join your writing as much as possible.
Maths – Planet Maths 4 pg. 130 A. Q. 2-5 (just write the next 3 numbers in the patterns no need to write the questions.)

Continue using Hit the Button website to revise your multiplication tables. 3 & 6 times today. Keep your score after the minute is up. This way you can see your progress when you come back to these tables again.
Literacy -Reading Zone pg 95. Activity E -Grammar
Spellings- ( -il) words
civil, pupil, pencil, weevil. Use your dictionary to find meaning of civil and weevil.
Write down the meanings and put the 4 words into sentences.
Reading aloud (if possible) if not read in silence for 20 minutes.
SESE- Pick any European country you want (not the one you did your project on) and research it. Record at least 10 pieces of information about this country. e.g Capital city, rivers, famous people, landmarks, bordering countries, traditional food, clothes etc. ( We will continue this project all this week so no need to complete it today.)
Get out for a walk or play outside if possible if not go onto Go Noodle or log onto Donna Dunne fitness. She does an excellent exercise class for children Monday to Friday at 12 noon. Today is county colours day so grab your jersey.

SESE – Look at the map of Europe in your hardback book. Revise the Countries and their Capital cities.
Get someone at home to test you orally. (Keep a record of how many you got correct.)
Art – If you have some fruit at home place a selection of them into a bowl or onto a plate and put on a table or chair. Do a sketch of it into the back of your copy or on a plain sheet of paper. Don’t forget to use your pencil for shading.
